Listed above are the slogans of the 10 of the most popular fast food restaurants in the United States. My guess is you can name most, if not all, of them (answers listed below).

As the chosen meal between the multiple activities in your day, fast food has become the go to stop to grab a bite and get going. Whether you’re rushing the kids off to soccer practice, going from one meeting to another, or dropping your daughter off at ballet class, consider pre-planning a balanced, nutritious meal and snack so you can stay on track and stay healthy.

Many fast foods tend to be high fat, salt content, and calories and even many of the healthy menu options aren’t all that healthy (take a look at the fat content in one packet of dressing next time you choose that salad).

Instead of stopping for a bite, have a cooler permanently in your car so you can stock up on snacks, save time, money, fat, and calories. Think about including:

  • Bottled water and juice
  • Nuts, seeds, and yogurt
  • Apple slices, bananas, or grapes (or any kind of fruit)
  • Cereal and health bars
  • Cut veggies, baby carrots, and cherry tomatos
  • Hard boiled eggs

Get in the habit of packing a few extra snacks to eat healthier and be healthier. Afterall, your success is our goal.

Great advice! Protein bars or protein snacks have also helped me stay full until I can get home for a healthy meal. Easy to pack and easy to store!
