Robard Gives Back for the Holidays!
Posted by Kelli Arruzzo on Thu, Dec 22, 2011
Each year, as the holidays approach, Robard looks to give back to the local community that many of our employees, customers, and vendors, come from. In doing so, we run a holiday charity contribution fund that supports local food banks, underprivileged youth, terminally ill children, and more. Our efforts are still underway, but with contributions from our employee fundraisers – raffles, auctions, and other events – and donations from our vendors, including, A&A Turf Management, Accu Staffing Services, The Bloom Organization, ColorSource, Inc., Del Val Chem Co., Material Handling Supply, Inc., and Mattie Studio, Inc., we have surpassed our highest expectations. And – to top it off – Robard matches all monies raised.
One final endeavor we’d like to take is to ask you to give back – but not through monetary donations or time, as we know these are hard to come by this time of year – but by shopping for grocery foods! So whether you’re a maintaining dieter or getting ready for Christmas dinner, you can give back AND save. How? Through CommonKindness.com – a website that allows you to choose your charities and clip coupons to save at local stores. Once used, CommonKindness bills the companies a quarter per coupon you use, and donates 5 cents to your cause. Every little bit helps – so why not help give back while doing an everyday task?
Once you’ve finished your grocery shopping, you may be looking for a few tips on how to fend off holiday weight gain, so here’s a few articles we’ve written in the past that offer quite a few tips on managing your weight and sticking to your plan during the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
And, on behalf of everyone here at Robard Corporation, we would like to wish you a safe and wonderful holiday and a very happy new year!
